Burning Man for me was a life changing experience. It fed something inside of me, but then I realized only recently that there can be too much of a good thing. Within this world I was embraced early as someone who is a “do’er” and maybe taking on too much. My burner resume since 2008 is a little nuts.

My first burn was 2009 although I joined the community in 2008 with a Las Vegas regional event. Vegas was my home community and the regional community that holds my heart. Even though I moved away from there in 2012, I stayed in touch with them and returned many times.

I cannot believe that I did not take any pictures in 2018 and 2019. But ONE of my all time fav pics from the burn are featured here from 2017. That was a pretty epic year for me, but then 2018 and 2019 I really had hard times.

And many of the people I met along the way have been an absolute blessing in my life.

2022 Burning Man
So, my latest burn just completed. It was complicated and beautiful all at the same time. I wrote about it in my blog and there was a brief follow up as well. It shold be said I am not sure what the future is for me and Burning Man (proper e.g. Black Rock Desert). I can say I loved being a ranger and I also love creating out there. There are things I have not done yet.

2023?
I have done a lot of work for this year, but there is a strong strong chance I am not going to burn this year. In fact, thinking about returning at all is starting to feel like a distant idea. Check out my blog pages for more thoughts.
